All Finalists are Announced for REIQ Excellence Awards
Back in December we announced that we were again selected as a finalist for the REIQ Queensland Agency of the Year in the medium agency category. This was the 7th time we have been selected as a finalist since 2000 and we have been lucky enough to be selected as the Queensland Agency of the Year in 2000 and the Queensland Agency of the Year in 2009 for the medium agency category.
The other finalists have been recently announced by the REIQ and once again it is a very talented field and we would like to congratulate the other finalists. in our category which are :
- Amber Werchon Property, Alexandra Headlands, Sunshine Coast
- David Deane Real Estate, Strathpine, Brisbane
- G1 Property, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast
It will be a huge ask to win two years in a row but to be consistently selected as a finalist in such excellent company is something we are extremely proud of. We would like to wish all finalists in all 15 categories the best of luck when the awards are announced on the 12th of February.

Nerang First National Salesperson Paul Moitzi and his wife Veronica have just been blessed with a new baby boy called Oliver who was delivered on the 29/12/09 at Pindara weighing 6lb 8ox (2.960kg).

Local Real Estate Agent Supports the Mayors Christmas Appeal
It’s definitely an age thing…. you know…. as you get older the years just seem to fly and here we are again at the Christmas end of the year. Remember when you were sixteen and waiting to turn seventeen to get your drivers license?? It seemed like a five year wait the time went so slow. Not any more unfortunately.
The last 12 months in real estate on the Gold Coast has been challenging again and it will be great when we can finally shake this market flu called the G.F.C. The Gold Coast market place is like a race horse at the starting gate on Melbourne Cup day. It just wants to get out, break free and run fast but the Global Financial Crisis is just pulling at the bridle and holding it back for another day.
Agency of the Year REIQ Awards For Excellence 2010 Finalist
This week the good news just keeps on coming as we received word from the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) that we are again a finalist in the Medium Residential Agency of the Year category of the 2010 REIQ Awards for Excellence.
This is the 7th time since 2000 that Nerang First National has been selected as a finalist in the REIQ Excellence awards and we were proudly selected as the winners in 2000 and 2009.
The award winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Night on 12 February 2010 at the Sofitel Brisbane. Each category winner is automatically nominated for the REIA Awards to be held in Adelaide on 25 March 2010.
Winner Again at the Queensland First National Awards
The 2009 year has been a very exciting and successful year for the team at First National Real Estate Nerang.
The year started with the Agency being selected as the Queensland Agency of the Year and a Finalist in the Australian Agency of the Year in the medium agency categories. It;s just been announced that we have again been awarded as the most successful Queensland residential real estate agency in the First National group winning the top honour of Highest Residential Gross Office Commission in the Large Office category.

Local Christmas Lights on Display
This time of the year some of our local residents decorate their homes in an amazing display of Christmas lights. The sheer effort and expense that some people go to is incredible.
The Gold Coast City Council will be operating a nightly bus tour of the Gold Coast Christmas Lights competition entrants from Thursday the 10th of December right up to Christmas eve but if you want conduct your own private tour of the local Christmas lights on offer here is a list to get you started.
This list combines entrants and winners in the 2008 and 2009 Gold Coast Christmas Lights competitions and displays we have noticed ourselves.
Check back often as we will update this list with any notable displays we find ourselves plus the local 2009 finalists when they are announced. If you know of a local Christmas Lights display worth adding to the list then let me know at glenn@nfn.com.au.
